Make an appointment at a medical office offering Low Vision evaluations/training. Tell the office you want to see the doctor and a low vision specialist.

Training and Assistance

Training can be in life skills, orientation and mobility, computers, and electronic aids.

Department of Rehabilitation

California State Rehabilitation works with visual impairment professionals and your local visual impairment center to provide appropriate help.

Veterans Administration

If you have a statement of Legal Blindness that will expedite the process of getting help from the Veterans.  Ask your eye doctor for this if that applies to you. You must be registered with the Veterans Administration.
